MEA volunteers continue to do good to help preserve Wat Chan Nonthaburi

On October 20, 2019the Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA) led by Mr. Sophas Sangkhakornmanit, Director of Samsen Districthelped improve electrical systems and provided knowledge of electric safety and efficiency for power users at Wat Chan, Bang Kruai District, Nonthaburi Province under the activity "Saving Temples for Communities", one of the MEA Volunteer Projects, with an intent to give staff the opportunity to do good deed and develop society in different fields. At Wat Chan, MEA Volunteerupdated the electrical system for safety by installing new electrical devices and replacing broken items such as main switches, three-prong outlets (grounded)circuit breakers, and ceiling fans. They also installed ground wires in temple kitchens and chanting pavilions and changed all lights to LED bulbs to help reduce electricity costs. All activities were conducted on Saturday-Sunday throughout August-October 2019.

The MEA Volunteer Project aims to support staff in doing good for others and encourage them to develop their potential through volunteer activities while elevating the corporate social and environmental mission for the benefits of the society. MEA will continue carrying out the Project’s activities for sustainable social and environmental development.
