MEA collaboratively organizes IEEE PES Distinguished Lecturer Program to promote energy storage system and electric vehicle

Mr. Somsak Witnalakorn, Deputy Governor of Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA), presided over the "IEEE PES Distinguished Lecturer Program" under the topics of Increasing the PV Hosting Capacity of Distribution Networks: The role of Smart Inverters and Storage and “Intelligent Control of Electric Vehicles: Lessons Learned from the Largest UK EV Trial, lectured by honorary guest speaker at Wattanaviphas Building, MEA’s headquarters, Khlong Toei on October 15, 2019.

The Deputy Governor stated that as a state enterprise under the Ministry of Interior, MEA is committed to driving innovations and technologies to elevate the quality of service for smart living in Bangkok, Nonthaburi and Samut Prakan, and is considered the first Thai organization that has been using electric vehicles for business since 2012. MEA took part in the support of the IEEE PES Distinguished Lecturer Program on the aforesaid topicsconducted by experienced lecturer from Australia - Prof. Dr. Luis (Nando) Ochoa, Professor of Smart Grids at The University of Melbourne and part-time professor at The University of Manchester.
