MEA Governor inaugurates grand opening of MEA Bang Na District, with a full-scale service

17 September 2019 55
On September 2, 2019, the Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA) led by Mr. Kirapat Jiamseth, Governor, along with the management team and staff, attended the grand opening of the Metropolitan Electricity Authority Bang Na District at 556 Sanphawut Road, Bang Na Subdistrict, Bangkok. It has been open for services since May 13, 2019, from 07:30 - 15:30 hrs. on official working days for better reaching power users in Bangna-Trad and Srinakarin areas.

Mr. Kirapat revealed that MEA, a state enterprise distributing electricity in Bangkok, Nonthaburi and Samut Prakan, is intent on improving the power system for more stability, and consistently elevating the quality of service for smart living, particularly in the former MEA Prawet District areas including Sanphawut Road, Sukhumvit Road (from Phra Khanong canal to Samrong), Bangna-Trad Road and Srinakarin Road, where the growth rate of residential units either condominiums or townhomes or detached houses is constantly high. It is also the location of many large shopping malls, convention centers and industrial plants resulting in more and more power consumption. Hence the MEA Prawet District has moved to the new office and renamed the Metropolitan Electricity Authority Bang Na District to meet the increasing demand of electricity in Bang Na and nearby areas, one of the important economic areas in Bangkok and Thailand. MEA is now ready to provide full services with more efficiency to enhance customer confidence and satisfaction. Power users can contact the MEA Bang Na District at Tel: 0 2769 3222, from 07.30-15.30 hrs. on official work days.

Currently MEA provides electricity services through 18 MEA Districts, and increases efficiency through an advanced innovation ‘MEA Smart Life Application’ all-in-one app to meet urban lifestyles with features such as outage notification within 2 clicks, making payment through credit cards (Visa and Mastercard) or via counter service with Bar Code - QR Code, checking record of power consumption through graphics, and many other functions. Free download at App Store or Google Play: http://is.gd/KlyQKF. For electricity payment, MEA provides many online channels for user convenience such as direct debit from bank account or credit card via website, Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, ATMs, payment agents, such as counter service, banks, Tesco Lotus, Big C, the counters at 3 Government Centers, which are located on 1st Floor Fashion Zone of CentralPlaza WestGate Nonthaburi available from 10.00 am - 5.30 pm, 5th Floor of The Mall Ngamwongwan and 3rd Floor of CentralPlaza Chaengwattana available from 10.30 am - 6.00 pm daily including public holidays.
