His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn assigned General Bundit Malaiarisoon to represent him in presiding over the 2018 National Engineering Conference and giving plaques to sponsors under the theme ‘Engineering for Society, Smart Engineering, Smart Life, Smart Nation’. The Metropolitan Electricity Authority Deputy Governor Pongsak Thambovorn represented MEA as the recipient of the plaque at Hall 9, IMPACT Forum Building, Muang Thong Thani on November 1, 2018.
MEA has consistently sponsored the National Engineering Conference and co-organized exhibitions to showcase up-to-date engineering innovations. Recently, MEA introduced electric power innovations in the exhibition – the Electric vehicle (EV) and EV Charging Station for automobiles which have been regarded as an automotive innovation of the future and now available in the capital city. MEA has been regarded as the first prototype agency to use electric cars for operations as well as research and development to reduce pollution for sustainability. MEA also showcased the MEA Smart Life Application – an advanced technology to provide convenience for electricity users. You can log into the app to report power outage to MEA anytime, to display a history of 6-month bills and backdated billing, including a payment function by credit cards (Visa and Mastercard) and a QR Code or Barcode to pay your electricity bill at the counter immediately. Those interested can visit the National Engineering 2018 from 1-3 November 2018 at Hall 9, IMPACT Forum Building, Muang Thong Thani.
