MEA improves lighting system for safety on main routes for Songkran Festival

Mr. Somboon Somdoonyakanok, Assistant Governor of Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA), revealed that MEA has committed to developing power system stability and increasing brightness for Bangkok, Nonthaburi and Samutprakarn while focusing on public safety particularly during the important festival. Thus, MEA has mobilized its staff across all distribution areas to monitor and improve the lighting systems under MEA’s responsibility on every road, especially the main roads in outbound routes. It has been carried out since April 1, 2017 to help reduce road accidents and to enhance safety for people's lives and property during Songkarn festival – the traditional Thai New Year.
